Malachy Walsh and Partners have been involved in hotel development from the inception of the firm and, have over the years, developed all of the necessary skills in house to respond to the changing market in that sector. Many of the firms hotel developments are in the key tourist market of Kerry, a market where hotel layout, design ambiance and services are critical to market success.

In respect of building services, the key factors in hotel design are climate control, energy efficiency and especially in the more upmarket and boutique hotels, the ability to deliver intelligent integrated systems incorporating mood lighting, surround sound and other add-on’s. From a structural view point, the ability to deliver cost effective flexible structures is and continues to be important.
