Client: Sundays Well Properties Cost: €18 million Completion date: March 2007 Description: Development comprising 104 dual aspect apartments, duplexes and penthouses and a crèche for up to 60 pre-school children on a four acre site in the centre of Killarney. The scheme is generally four storey blocks arranged in an East West axis. The apartments are large dual aspect units with access to private balconies, with the upper levels consisting of duplexes and penthouses with access to private terraces. The areas between the buildings form private open space and are landscaped to accentuate the existing mature vegetation. The residential development comprises of 11 holiday houses arranged around shared open spaces to form a `sráid bhaile', a single street village with vehicular and pedestrian sharing of public open space. A number of the houses have been designed to meet with Category 3 of Fáilte Ireland's Validated Accessible Scheme and cater specifically to people with disabilities.
