Senior Water Services Engineer

MWP requires a Senior Water Services Engineer for a senior management role in our Water Services Sector and also working closely with other sectors within the firm.

Requirements

  • The candidate must be Chartered with at least 10 years’ experience in this sector.
  • Experience of wastewater treatment, water treatment, network design,
  • Experience in Public Works Contracts and in commercial and industrial projects.
  • Experience of working on EPA licensed sites.
  • Experience of flood studies and flood alleviation schemes is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong technical ability in all aspects of your field of engineering.
  • QQI Level 8 or 9 Qualification in an accredited Engineering programme.
  • Good knowledge and experience of current EN Standards.

Structural Engineers

MWP requires Structural Engineers to support the delivery of a broad range of projects. The position would suit motivated, practical and adaptable individuals who have ambition to work in a progressive and innovative engineering and environmental consultancy.

Requirements

  • Candidates with a range of experience from 2 years to 8 years will be considered.
  • Reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber design experience are all necessary.
  • Civil design experience is also beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong technical ability in all aspects of your field of engineering.
  • QQI Level 8 or 9 Qualification in an accredited Engineering programme.

Bridge / Civil Engineer

MWP requires a Bridge / Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a broad range of projects. The position would suit motivated, practical and adaptable individuals who have ambition to work in a progressive and innovative engineering and environmental consultancy.

Requirements

  • We require a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 7 years post graduate experience in the design and supervision of bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects and of roads or other civil works.
  • Knowledge of current government forms of contract documentation would be an advantage.
  • This Engineer will join our Roads, Bridges and Marine sector, which is responsible for a wide range of bridge, road and marine projects throughout Ireland.

  • Masters in Transportation Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years post graduate experience.
  • Relevant experience should include traffic studies, traffic modelling, road safety audits, traffic aspects of planning applications, urban renewal schemes and smarter travel schemes.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Hydrogeologist (Cork office)

We are now seeking a Hydrogeologist in our Cork office to work within our growing Environmental team on exciting and varied environmental projects. The ideal candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic, capable of working both independently and in a team. The role will involve travel (mainly in Ireland) and occasional overnight stays. This is a permanent, full-time role within a friendly, supportive environment that offers the successful candidate opportunities for career development in a multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy.

Responsibilities:

– Planning and implementation of field investigation groundwater programmes
– Supervision of intrusive site investigations
– Collection, management and interpretation of analytical data
– Preparation of interpretive reports, including contaminated land and hydrogeological risk assessments
– Hydrogeological Environmental Impact Assessments to form part of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)
– Liaising with clients and subcontractors
– Detailed quantitative controlled waters risk assessment and modelling (desirable);

Experience and Qualifications Required:

– Degree in Geology or related Earth Science with an MSc in Hydrogeology
– Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, most of which will have been gained within an environmental consultancy area
– Membership of a professional body preferable
